Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Emmersify app and this website, provided by Viral App Brewery Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Emmersify you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, these Terms apply to the extent permitted.

1. Subscription required

Emmersify requires an active subscription. Without one, the app's content and features are not available.

• Weekly plan: billed weekly from the time of purchase. No free trial.
• Monthly plan: billed monthly from the time of purchase. No free trial.
• Yearly plan: includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, then billed yearly.
• Welcome offer: eligible new subscribers may be offered the yearly plan at 50% off the first year, paid up front, with no free trial. It then renews at the full yearly price. Apple allows one introductory offer per person, so anyone who has already had the free trial cannot get this offer, and vice versa.

Prices are shown before you purchase and vary by country.

Billing and renewal (App Store)

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial for the yearly plan.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Canceling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com.

Purchases on our website

• You may also be able to subscribe on emmersify.app or yakforenglish.com. Website purchases are processed by Stripe, which may act as the seller (merchant of record) and charge any applicable sales tax or VAT. The same plans, prices, renewal rules and 7-day free trial on the yearly plan apply. With the free trial, your card is saved at checkout and first charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• Presale: before Emmersify is on the App Store, we may offer the yearly plan for USD 19.99, charged at checkout, with no free trial. It renews at USD 19.99 a year until you cancel. Your first 12 months count from the day Emmersify is available on the App Store, not from the day you buy: at launch we extend your subscription so you get the full year. We'll email you when it launches. Refund promise: if we decide not to launch Emmersify, or it isn't available on the App Store by 30 October 2026, we will refund every presale purchase in full, without you having to ask.
• Website welcome offer: new customers may be offered the yearly plan at 50% off the first year with a promotion code entered at checkout. It has no free trial, can be used once per customer and only on that offer, and then renews at the full yearly price until you cancel.
• After checkout we email you a link that unlocks the app on your iPhone. No account is needed.
• Manage or cancel a website subscription with the link in your purchase email. It renews automatically until you cancel; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• One subscription is enough. A website subscription and an App Store subscription are separate. If you already have one, you don't need the other; if you were charged twice by mistake, contact us and we'll help.
• For refunds of website purchases, contact [email protected]. This doesn't affect any statutory rights you have.
• Website purchases aren't available in mainland China or Hong Kong.

2. Learning content

Emmersify shows short excerpts of public-domain films, television, and U.S. government videos, together with educational material we create (subtitles, pronunciation guides, definitions, and translations). Some of this material is produced with the help of AI tools and reviewed for quality, but it may contain mistakes. Emmersify is a study aid and is not professional, academic, or legal advice.

Emmersify is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by NASA or by any film or television studio whose public-domain works appear in the app.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, redistribute, or resell the app or its content; reverse engineer the app except where the law allows; interfere with or attempt to bypass the app's security or subscription checks; or use the app for any unlawful purpose.

4. Intellectual property

The Emmersify name, mascot, app design, and the educational material we create belong to Viral App Brewery Pte. Ltd.. Public-domain source material remains in the public domain.

5. Copyright complaints

If you believe content in Emmersify infringes your rights, please follow the instructions on our Report content / DMCA page. We respond promptly and remove content where appropriate.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that particular content will remain available.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Termination

You may stop using Emmersify at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms. Sections 2 and 4–9 survive termination.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of the laws of the country where you live.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Continuing to use Emmersify after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
